Cafe opens 17:30 for dinner, event 18:00-20:00Take part in an arts research project on how we imagine climate futures. Share stories of your own future.
Come to this listening and conversation event as part of Climate Kitchen at The Stove Café on Friday 11th October.
Immerse yourself in the unique audio play Three Sisters – a story from the climate future, recorded at Kirkconnell House, New Abbey and created for Wild Goose Festival 2023. It tells the story of a community in the 2030s living in a climate altered Nith Valley.
Our collective listening session will last 20 minutes and will be followed by 40 minutes of conversation, which will help us imagine our own climate futures.
This contribution to Climate Kitchen is organised by Lena Simic (Edge Hill University) and James Marriott (Platform), co-authors of Three Sisters – a story from the climate future. The complete audio play is available at all major audio platforms should you wish to experience it before or after the event. The play and artistic research have been funded by Arts Council England and British Academy.
